You'll also get a limited quantity "Launch Bonus" car pack available for fans who order early. In FM3 there were so many boards it made it hard to focus on competing.īundled together with a polished Steelbook DVD Case, the Limited Collector's Edition content includes a VIP Car Pack that includes:Ģ011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera Leaderboards-any changes? It would be nice if there was a more visible board more focused on a set stock car, or cars, for tracks (see: Trials HD) to make competing a little more straight forward with your friends. What changes are there to Campaign/Season Play? Anything crazy like multiplayer in Campaign? How many Environments / Tracks? What are the new ones?Ĭan we expect 16 racers on all tracks (minus specialty races like PTP and Drag)? Split-Screen-How many AI cars can be in a race in split-screen mode? Can we finally get split-screen in some Online races? Options-like Forced Pit, accelerated wheel wear and fuel consumption, etc? Can we expect a "full sim" damage model? Is the damage modeling different (dynamic) on cars now? Burst tires would be great (a nice Toca3 feature).Ītmospherics-will we see Weather and Day/Night cycles? Open Custom Lobbies-it is GREAT that they are back are there any changes from FM2?ĭamage-"sim" damage was still not very sim. What's their thought process of what to do & what to leave out? Upload still photos to Flickr is another (don't forget SkyDrive for both videos & photos). Less nerdy: Will they do more direct integration with social media? Mainly I'm thinking of how Dirt3 can upload replays directly to YouTube, compared to FM3 where there's a much more complicated process of uploading to & then downloading back to your PC & then upload back to your sharing site of choice. In other interviews, they've mentioned all new physics, tires, & lighting engines - lets dig deep on that stuff. Did the work/research discussed there make it into FM4? See the parts about aerodynamics, tires, & particle physics.
I remember this 2007 Channel 9 interview on the subject (mostly about car sims) which was really cool. I'd like to see some discussion of modeling physics in the game.
If we were able to get an interview with Turn 10, what sort of stuff would you like to know about?
